Ian has a strong business and commercial acumen and a proven track record of ability in strategic leadership, previously holding a number of senior roles at large construction companies.
Ian’s skills include being an innovative strategist who leads executive teams to exceed in objectives through encouraging ambition and growing multi-site operations, whilst at the same time addressing social injustice.
His personal and work ethics create a strong culture of corporate responsibility, ensuring that community engagement is at the heart of what the organisation does. Ian’s professional qualifications include FRICS and he is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Ian has been a board member of the Housing Forum, and is a business coach for Start-Up Business with the Leeds Chamber of Commerce.

Peter joined the company in March 2015. Having previously worked in the telecommunications and education sectors, and with construction experience with ISG, he brings a wide breadth of knowledge in financial planning.
Peter is responsible for implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities for the company, ensuring our operational strategies are met.
- Stuart Laird

Stuart is a highly experienced strategist and operator within the construction, support services and infrastructure markets, having held senior executive positions in each of these sectors.
One main focus of his career has been maximising shareholder value through leading teams to create profitable growth. Previous roles have included CEO of Jarvis plc and COO of Wates Living Space. He is passionate about developing and mentoring new talent within the construction industry. Stuart is also a non-executive director of Sovereign Housing Association.

Tim joined United Living in April 2014 as Commercial Director. He is responsible for all commercial activities within the organisation. Tim has over 25 years’ experience of working within the construction industry.
Tim was previously Regional Commercial Director at one of the largest UK construction companies and has experience within the housing and extra care PFI markets as well as affordable housing, open market sales and planned and responsive maintenance.
- Charlie Dunn

Charlie has a wealth of experience working for a number of main contractors and has been pivotal in the tendering, winning, procurement and delivery of over £2bn of profitable construction projects in the North East, Yorkshire and Scotland.
A former commercial director of BAM Construction business for 15 years in the North East of England, Charlie was responsible for all commercial operations and played a key strategic role in developing the business. He will oversee all developments for United Living North division.

Anne has a wealth of experience in the HR Sector and is responsible for ensuring the people focus is positioned at the heart of United Living’s business values.
Her main area of focus includes people strategy, succession planning and developing future leaders. Anne is an accredited coach with Henley Business School and sits on the UKCG Diversity Committee. She is also a Freeman of the City of London.
